TANCET 2024 registration window closes tomorrow; exam pattern, application fee

NEW DELHI: Anna University is going to close the registration window for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2024 exam, tomorrow. Eligible candidates should fill out the TANCET 2024 application form by February 12 through the official website at tancet.annauniv.edu. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on March 9.
The TANCET examination is administered by Anna University on an annual basis for admission to its Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) degree programmes.
Previously the deadline for TANCET 2024 registration was February 7, 2024, which was later extended. The TANCET exam for MCA admission will be held between 10 am and 12 pm, while the exam for MBA admission will take place between 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm.
Along with TANCET, the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA PG 2024) registration window will also close tomorrow. The CEETA PG 2024 exam is held for the entrance of students to Anna University's ME, MTech, MArch, and MPlan degree programmes. The CEETA PG 2024 exam will be held on March 10, from 10 am to 12 pm.
To be qualified for TANCET 2024, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50%. Candidates who obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BE), BTech degrees through distance learning or weekend programmes are ineligible for the exam.

Candidates from the Unreserved (UR) and Other Backward Class (OBC) categories should pay an application fee of Rs 1,000. Candidates from reserved groups, such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PWD), will be required to submit an application fee of Rs 500.
TANCET 2024: Exam pattern
The TANCET 2024 exam will be conducted in offline mode. The MBA, MCA question paper carries 100 questions with equal weightage. Candidates will have to complete the exam in two hours. Each question carries one mark, and one-fourth mark is deducted for each incorrect response.
For the ME, MTech, MArch, and MPlan exams, the question paper is divided into three parts. Part one and two carry 20 questions each, and part three carries 60 questions. Each question carries one point, with one-fourth of the marks deducted for each incorrect answer.
