Two Ghaziabad schools shut for 3 days after five students test positive for Covid-19

The Ghaziabad school administration has decided that classes from Monday to Wednesday (April 13) will be conducted through online mode.
NEW DELHI: Two schools in Ghaziabad have been shut as a precautionary measure after five students were claimed to be found infected with Covid-19, as per reports. Two children from a school in Indirapuram and three from a school in Vaishali were reported positive for Covid-19.

The two students from Classes 3 and 9 remained absent for three days. The school administration has decided that classes from Monday to Wednesday (April 13) will be conducted through online mode, the report said.
The letter from the principal stated that the schools will resume after the Easter holidays.
The Uttar Pradesh government in January shut all schools in the state due to a sudden spike in Covid-19 cases. The schools, colleges and other educational institutions were allowed to reopen on February 7 after extending the school closure for weeks.
The reports further said the school in Vaishali is yet to respond on the situation.

In a similar incident, the state health department on April 8 said that 15 students of the Gujarat National Law University in Gandhinagar tested positive over the last two days, with three being detected with the infection on Thursday and 12 on Friday.
