NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has finalised the dates for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2021 and June 2022 merged cycles. UGC NET 2022 will be held on July 8, 9, 11, 12 and August 12, 13, 14. NTA will upload the detailed datesheet on official websites -- nta.ac.in, ugcnet.nta.nic.in soon.
“The dates for the conduct of examination for UGC-NET December 2021 and June 2022 merged cycles have now been finalized,” reads NTA’s latest notification.
Candidates were able to fill the UGC NET 2022 application form from May 1 to 30. NTA allowed correction in application form from May 31 to June 1.

Candidates who have filled and submitted the UGC NET application form 2022 will be allowed to download the admit card. NTA will release the UGC NET 2022 admit card in online mode on the official website - ugcnet.nta.nic.in. To download the UGC NET 2022 admit card, candidates will have to use their registration number and date of birth.
The UGC NET exam determines the eligibility of an individual for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges. Till June 2018, NET exam was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in 84 subjects at 91 cities across the country. Since December 2018, NTA has been conducting the exam. Based upon the UGC NET 2022 score of the candidates in both papers 1 and 2, candidates will be awarded JRF and eligibility for an assistant professorship.
