UGC NET 2024: NTA announces new date for June session; exam between August 21 to September 4
Joint CSIR UGC NET will conducted from July 25 to 27 and NCET 2024 exam will be held on July 10.

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency has announced the new dates for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) 2024 June session exam. As per the revised schedule, the UGC NET June 2024 cycle will be held between August 21 and September 4 at various exam centres across the country.
The agency also announced to conducted the UGC NET 2024 exam in online computer-based test (CBT) mode, a shift from offline pen and paper format this year.
Additionally, the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) will conducted from July 25 to 27 in computer based test mode. Both these exams are important for candidates seeking lectureships and research fellowships in Indian universities and research institutions.
AIAPGET 2024 exam date
Meanwhile, the agency has also confirmed that the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2024 will proceed as planned on July 6. The NCET 2024 exam will be held on July 10.
UGC NET 2024 exam cancellation
The UGC NET June session exam was conducted on June 18 in two shifts, however a day after the exam was cancelled. The exam on June 18 was held in two shifts in over 317 cities for over 9 lakh candidates. The Ministry of Education cancelled the exam claiming that the “integrity may have been compromised”, after receiving input about the alleged paper leak generated by the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Following a CBI investigation, it was revealed that the exam paper had been leaked on June 16, two days before the scheduled exam. The leak occurred over the darknet and other encrypted social media channels, with the paper being sold for over Rs 500,000.
