UGC NET December 2023 registration ends on October 28; application fees, eligibility criteria

NEW DELHI: National Testing Agency (NTA) will end the registration process for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December Session on October 28. Interested candidates can apply for UGC NET December 2023 session through the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The UGC NET December 2023 exams will be held from December 6 to December 22. The exam will determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for 'Assistant Professor' and 'Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor' in Indian universities and colleges.

The exam for 'Junior Research Fellowship' and eligibility for 'Assistant Professor' in 83 subjects online in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
UGC NET December 2023: How to apply
Candidates can follow the easy steps given below to register for UGC NET December 2023 exam.
- Visit the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
- Go to the online UGC NET registration option to apply.
- Please provide your email address and phone number.
- Register by providing the necessary information.
- Upload required documents and pay the application fees
- Download and take a printout of the same for further references.
Candidates belonging to general or unreserved category need to pay Rs 1150 as UGC NET December 2023 application fees. EWS and OBC candidates are required to pay Rs 600 while SC, ST, and Third Gender candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs 325.
Interested candidates must have a minimum 55% Marks in the Master's degree and candidates must have the marksheets. Candidates with Phd degree will get an extra 5% weightage in the UGC NET December 2023 exam.
