University of Leeds announces scholarship for Indian PG students worth Rs 6.63 lakh

NEW DELHI : University of Leeds, United Kingdom, will offer International Masters Regional Scholarships for Indian post graduate (PG) students, enrolling in the master’s courses for the academic year 2025. The students will get a fee waiver of 6,000 pounds sterling (Rs 6,63,144.60) in the second semester, as per the official statement.
The scholarship aimed to support talented Indian students , helping to ease living costs and motivate students to focus on their studies, the university said. “Offered as a fee waiver in the second semester, this scholarship marks yet another milestone in the University strengthening its ties with India,” it added.
Notably, students applying for the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and online courses at the University of Leeds are not eligible for the scholarship, as per the official statement.

University of Leeds Scholarship 2025: Eligibility criteria
To avail the scholarship, Indian students must fulfil the set of conditions as follows:
- Students must be classified as a national from India (or another eligible country/region).
- Applicants should be self-funded or partially funded, and classified as an international fee-paying student.
- Students must have a conditional or unconditional offer for a 2025 master’s degree.

“The scholarship cannot be deferred to a future year of entry, but can be combined with any available University of Leeds or external funding as long as it doesn’t exceed 100% of your tuition fees,” it said.
Students must note that they do not need to apply for the scholarship. Rather, they will receive the scholarship automatically on meeting the award criteria.
“Those who are eligible will be notified of their scholarship award via email. They are encouraged to confirm their interest through the link provided in the email,” it added. Eligible students will receive the scholarship as a tuition fee discount in their second semester, which will be applied if they are registered at the university on January 30, 2026.
