The monthly examination system will help evaluate the students throughout the whole year, says the board. The marks of these monthly exams will be shared with the board every month, according to the Times Now News report.
The UP Board will conduct internal assessments for Classes 9 and 10 in the last week of August, October and January. It would be an objective-type exam including multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
UPMSP Academic Calendar 2021-22
“According to the new UPMSP calendar 2021-22, the board exams for Classes 10, 12 will be held in the first and second week of March 2022, while the pre-board exams are scheduled for February”, the report said.
The report further stated that students will be majorly evaluated by four types of exams - monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and final board exams. The first quarterly examination will be conducted in the third and fourth week of September, and the half-yearly examination will be conducted in the second and third week of December. The pre-board exams will be conducted in the first and second week of February 2022.
The practical exams for Class 11 and Class 12 will be done in two phases in January 2022.
With the introduction of new assessment criteria, the board will also make sure that the marks and results are arranged systematically and reported to it so that the cross-checking of results becomes easier.
