NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh has cancelled the admission of candidates admitted to the minority category seats in Subharti Medical College during the first round of UP NEET UG counselling 2024 for submitting fake certificates. The medical education department has cancelled the admission of as many as eight candidates.
UP NEET UG round 1 seat allotment result 2024 was announced on August 31 for admission to MBBS, BDS programmes through the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024.
DMET, UP informed that the minority category certificates submitted by the candidates claiming to belong to the Budddhist community at the nodal admission centre in Government Medical College, Meerut were found to be in violation of the "Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, 2021", and thus the district minority welfare officer of the concerned district cancelled the document verification.
“In view of the above, in accordance with the instructions given by this office, Office Order No. S0-1/2024/6947 dated 13.9.2024 and Office Order No. S0-1/2024/ of the Principal, Government Medical College, Meerut (Nodal Centre). 6970 dated 14.9.2024, the admission of the candidates mentioned in the above table has been cancelled,” the official notification read.
