UPSC Geo Scientist Result 2024: Candidates in provisional category have to submit their original documents within the stipulated three-month period.
NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Combined Geo-Scientist main exam 2024 results. Candidates who appeared for the recruitment examination can download their UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist mains result 2024 through the official website at upsc.gov.in.
A total of 69 candidates have been shortlisted for the appointment to geologist, hydrogeologist, geophysics, geophysicist, and chemist, chemical posts.
Candidates can use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to download the UPSC geo scientist mains 2024 result.
The UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist personality test was conducted from December 9 to 12, 2024. The UPSC geo scientist preliminary and main exams were held on February 18, and June 22 and 23, respectively.
Appointment offer after document verification
The result of 14 recommended candidates is provisional. Candidates who are in the provisional category must ensure that they submit the original documents as soon as possible and within the stipulated three-month period.
The offer of appointment will only be issued once the Commission has verified these documents, such as educational qualifications, identity proof, and other eligibility-related papers. The provisional status will remain valid for a period of three months from the date the final result is declared. During this period, candidates must submit the required documents. If a candidate fails to do so within this time frame, their candidature will be cancelled, and they will no longer be considered for the position, regardless of their exam performance.
Additionally, after the three-month deadline, the Commission will not entertain any further correspondence from the candidate, meaning no appeals or requests for extensions will be considered. This process ensures that only eligible candidates are appointed, maintaining the integrity and fairness of the recruitment process.
