The WBJEE 2026 seat allotment will be prepared by considering candidates' entrance exam ranks, filled choices, category, and seat availability. Those who have completed the counselling registration process will be able to access and download their seat allotment letter.
Candidates who are allotted a seat in their first preference or have selected "no" for the upgradation option must pay the seat acceptance fee and report to their allotted institutes for document verification and admission between July 7 and July 11, 2026.

WBJEE Round 1 Seat Allotment 2026: What’s next?
With the WBJEE 2026 round 1 seat allotment now available, candidates must log in to the counselling portal and select one of the available options based on their admission preference:
Accept and Freeze: Candidates who are satisfied with the allotted seat can accept it by paying the seat acceptance fee. They should then download the provisional seat allotment letter, which will be verified by the allotted institute during document verification.
Accept and Opt for Upgradation: Candidates who wish to retain the allotted seat while seeking a better preference in the next round can choose the upgradation option. They must pay the seat acceptance fee and download the provisional allotment letter after confirming their choice.
