WB 1st Semester UG Admission: The online portal for application for UG programmes will open on July 1, 2023.
NEW DELHI: The Department of Higher Education West Bengal has announced the undergraduate admission first semester dates. The online portal for application for UG programmes will open on July 1, 2023, while submission of applications in the online portal for UG programmes will be by July 15.
The publication of merit lists in UG programmes will be out by July 20, while the completion of admission at the UG programmes is scheduled to be by July 31. The classes in the first semester West Bengal will start on August 1.
West Bengal UG 1st Semester Admission 2023: Key points
1. Online admission process should be done on the basis of merit. Prospective students should
not be called for counseling or verification of documents during the process of admission. No
physical presence will be required at the HEIs.
2. No charges shall be taken from the students for scanning, uploading of documents for online
admission and providing and making available the application form or prospectus of admission in all UG level programmes like last year.
3. Eligible applicants should be informed directly by the HEI authorities through letter or e-mail or telecommunication.

4. Payment of fees should be done only through e-payment or designated banks and not physically at the colleges.
5. List of eligible applicants should be handed over to the designated bank branches for verification during payment through banks. Banks will receive admission fees based on merit list.
6. All testimonials are required to be uploaded online during application. Verification of documents, if required, should be done only when the students report for the classes in due course.
7. Admission will be cancelled if the documents are found not in conformity with the declaration in the forms submitted on-line.
