Candidates who have registered for the XAT 2026 can register for the mock test, to experience the same test environment, by November 16 through the official website at xatonline.in.
Notably, the management institute will provide an edit facility for XAT 2026 registered candidates to make changes to their application form from 9 am on November 25 to 9 am on November 27, 2025.
Editable fields may include personal details, academic qualifications, work experience, and preferred exam cities. While, email ID, phone numbers cannot be changed.

XAT 2026 mock test format, marking scheme
“Aspirants are advised to carefully review and verify all information during this window, as no further modifications will be allowed after November 27, 2025. Candidates applying early will also have the advantage of accessing the edit window, allowing them to make necessary corrections and avoid any last-minute issues,” according to the official notification.
The XAT 2026 mock test is conducted for candidates to help them with preparation strategies for the original XAT 2026, and other national-level entrance exams.
Rahul Shula, convenor for XAT and admissions at XLRI Jamshepur, said: “The enthusiastic response from students in earlier mock tests has been extremely motivating. Many aspirants expressed the need for another practice test, and we’re glad to support them with this final mock session. These tests are designed to simulate real exam conditions and help candidates assess their readiness effectively.”
The XAT 2026 mock test will include the original XAT exam format, and topics such as verbal ability and logical reasoning (VALR), Decision Making (DM), Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QA and DI).
The test will be conducted for three hours where candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct response, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
There will be no negative marking in the GK section and a penalty of minus 0.10 marks will be applicable for each unattempted question beyond eight skipped questions.
