22 Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham researchers in world's top 2% scientists

Amrita University has been included in Stanford University’s list of top scientists for the fourth time in a row. .
NEW DELHI: Twenty-two researchers of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham have been ranked in the world’s top 2 percent list of scientists published by the US-based Stanford University. This is the fourth consecutive time that scientists from Amrita University have been included in the list of top scientists.
The number of researchers from the university has increased from 13 to 22 this year. The selection process is based upon a thorough evaluation of research papers published and the cumulative years devoted to research endeavours, it said.
Stanford University has published two separate lists this year. “The first one is formulated considering both the volume of research papers published and the duration spent in research pursuits. The second list, on the other hand, spotlights excellence in research achieved over the past year,” the university said.

The first list includes eight researchers from Amrita University

- Madhav Datta, Professor Emeritus, Amrita School of Engineering
