Admission process for Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya begins; exam date, eligibility criteria
Students can register for admission to 314 Adarsha Vidyalayas and five Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas through the official website, oav.edu.nic.

NEW DELHI: The registration process for the entrance test of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAV) and Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalaya (OMAV) will end on November 20.
Interested students can register for the test to get admission in 314 Adarsha Vidyalayas and five Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas across the state through the official website, oav.edu.nic.
The entrance test will be held by January 15, 2024, said an official statement issued by the School and Mass Education department. The while OAV entrance results will be announced by February 15, 2024.
The information brochures for admission have already been sent to the district and block authorities. It is to be noted that 50% of the seats in these schools are reserved for girls and scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students of the blocks in accordance with the population of respective blocks.

OAV, OMAV Entrance Test 2023: Eligibility criteria
- Students who are permanent resident of Odisha are eligible for admission into OAVs.
- The age limit of students must be between 9 to 13 years.
- The quota of reservation in OAVs will be Block specific. Reservation is based on caste, category and gender
- Preference will be given in admission to the wards of employees of OAVs on a priority basis.
- Students passing out of schools are eligible for taking admission in OAVs provided that the institution possesses Certificate of Recognition (CoR) from the state government concerned for the class and academic session last studied.
