AICTE issues notice on official website, warns people against fake urls
The All India Council for Technical Education has issued a notice saying that its official url is aicte-india.org and warned the public against fake urls.

NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has issued an official notice stating that its official url is aicte-india.org and warned the public against fake urls that have been surfacing on the internet.
According to the official notice from AICTE , “it has been observed that some websites with similar looking URL like www.aicstd.com, www.aictetindia.org, etc. do not belong to AICTE.”

Any person who uses these websites for financial transactions or various others purposes shall do it at their own risk, the AICTE statement said.

Recently, AICTE warned students of Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh about individuals posing as AICTE officials and offering admissions under Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS 2021-22).
AICTE issued a notice that said: “It is hereby warned that any student who is taking admission in any institution other than allotted institutions through online counselling process of PMSSS 2022-22, is not eligible for scholarship under the scheme and AICTE will not be responsible under any circumstances.”

Around 10,000 Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh students applied in the first four days of the starting of the registration of the Special Scholarship Scheme .
