Assam NMMS scholarship exam 2023 for Class 8 on November 18; registration begins
The last to submit Assam NMMS application form 2023 through madhyamik.assam.gov.in or bidyarthi.co.in is October 10.

NEW DELHI: Assam higher education minister Ranoj Pegu has announced the National Means Cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS 2023) exam date for Class 8 students today. Eligible students will have to apply for the NMMS exam by October 10 to be considered for the scholarship.

The minister said that the application process has been started for Assam NMMS exam 2023 which is scheduled to be held on November 18. Students will be able to apply through the official websites madhyamik.assam.gov.in or bidyarthi.co.in and through 'Bidyarthi' Mobile App.
Those students who are selected will get a scholarship of Rs 12,000 per annum during Class 9 to 12. However, as per the norms set by the ministry of education, students’ parental income should not be more than Rs 3.5 lakh per annum.
Those students who apply for the exam will have to download the e-admit cards, which will be made available on the official website and in the Bidyarthi mobile app from November 1.
As per the eligibility criteria, only students of government and provincialised schools under the Department of School Education, Government of Assam are eligible to get the scholarship. “Students from private schools, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) may appear in the examination, but they will not be selected for the scholarship,” the official statement read.
Assam NMMS exam 2023 schedule
The Assam NMMS question paper will be for a total of 180 marks. The test will have two parts and students will get one and a half hours to complete each section.
