UP Board to install Voice Recorders and CCTVs in all classes to curb cheating

Download NowNew Delhi, December 10 : Uttar Pradesh government has decided to curb the use of unfair means during board exam by monitoring exam centres with the help of CCTV cameras and digital voice recorders (DVR’s) in classrooms. The UP govt has initiated the process of installing DVR and CCTV cameras in all the schools where examinations will be held. As per the reports, govt has also adopted a four-fold process to monitor exam centres and assure that nothing unfair happens during the exam.
UP govt has begun with the process of selecting the exam centre with the help of a software which is developed to automatically render exam centres from the available list of schools. To abstain cheating and use of unfair means by students, exam centres will be evaluated by special team of officers and availability for every anomalies and formalities will be cross checked. CCTV cameras will be installed across all the classrooms in exam centres to cover and monitor exam from a centralized server.
Uttar Pradesh govt has always been on red mark for its sloppy outlook towards curbing the use of unfair means in board exams. Exam centres across the east UP are found to be openly involved in mass cheating with education mafia flourishing the formulated and unrestrained cheating.
Education minister of UP, Dinesh Sharma said that many new steps have been taken to completely stop copying among students one of which is linking of Aadhar number of student in case of exam centres with past history of cheating. Dinesh Sharma also quoted that Yogi-led BJP govt has also opened as many as 250 new schools to outspread education across the state.
