NEW DELHI: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will close the registration window for recruitment of headmaster, head teacher posts today, April 2. Eligible candidates should fill out the BPSC headmaster, head teacher application form 2024 through the official website bpsc.bih.nic.in.
The commission aims to recruit a total of 6,061 headmasters and 40,247 head teachers posts in primary schools under the education department, Bihar. For the registration of BPSC head teacher and headmaster posts, candidates belonging to scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), persons with disabilities (PwD), and female candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 200. Candidates from other categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 750.
To be eligible for the BPSC headmaster, headteacher recruitment exam, candidates should have a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates should have a valid score in Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
However, candidates employed in schools affiliated with boards such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE), and the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) are exempted from providing TET scores.

BPSC Teacher Recruitment 2024: Exam pattern
The BPSC head teacher examination comprises 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions, totalling 150 marks. These questions are equally divided into two sections: general studies and Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd), each carrying 75 marks.
Candidates will receive one mark for each correct response, while 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. The exam duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes. For general category candidates, a minimum score of 40% is required to qualify for the exam.
