BPSC TRE 2.0 Result Date: Cut-off, qualifying marks, tie-breaking rules announced

NEW DELHI: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the details of qualifying percentile, tie-breaking rule, and other criteria for BPSC teacher recruitment examination (BPSC TRE 2.0) phase 2 result declaration. The commission has uploaded the BPSC TRE second provisional answer key 2023 for Classes 1-5 and Classes 11-12 on the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in.
Earlier, the BPSC said BA or BSc and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education degree is considered as a valid eligibility for the TRE recruitment. On December 14, the BPSC chairman Atul Prasad said that the commission has started uploading scanned OMRs of TRE2.0 on the portal. “It may take 10-15 days to complete this for all the subjects,” he added.
As per the latest update, the commission has instructed candidates to download the documents uploaded while filling the application form. These documents will have to be presented before the officials for verification. They should make sure the documents are downloaded from the online form which was already submitted as it will have a watermark.

“Without the watermark of the Commission, no certificate will be valid and acceptable. The arrangement to upload and re-download and submit a new certificate will be given to the candidates only on the recommendation of the concerned administrative department and not otherwise,” it said.
The disability test of all physically challenged candidates will be compulsorily conducted at medical college hospital, IGIMS, AIIMS, even if they are declared successful on the basis of merit. This is necessary because they have been given the benefit of extra time in the examination only on the basis of disability, the BPSC said.
BPSC TRE qualifying marks, cut-off
As per the criteria, general category candidates will have to secured 40% to qualify BPSC TRE. Backward class candidates and extremely backward class candidates should obtain 36.5% marks and SC, ST candidates who score 32%. The SC, ST women and PwD candidates should score 32%.
It is clear that those candidates whose marks are less than the prescribed minimum qualifying marks cannot be included in the merit list and then there is no question of declaring them successful in the examination result.
Tie-breaking rule
The provisional merit list of successful candidates will be prepared by the commission on the basis of total marks of the written examination, but excluding the marks of language, ie. the marks of the remaining 120 questions.
In case the above total marks are equal, the marks of the main section part 3 of the selected subject ie. the last 80 questions have been used as the first tie-breaker.
In case of equal marks after tie-breaker-1, the marks obtained in the language section in the second tie-breaker will be used for the teacher of Class 1-5. Preference for age of the candidate and name according to the alphabet in Devanagari script respectively will be given as the last rule.
