Bihar Board Classes 1 to 8 half-yearly exam 2023 dates announced; to begin on September 20
The Bihar Education Project Council said a committee will be formed at the district-level under the chairmanship of the DEO to prepare question papers.

NEW DELHI: The Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC) has released the schedule and rules to conduct the half-term exams of Classes 1 to 8 in government and government-aided schools.
The council said the Social Science (Classes 3 to 8) and Science exams (Classes 6 to 8) will held in morning and evening shifts, respectively, on September 20; Hindi (Classes 3 to 8) and Sanskrit (Classes 6 to 8) will be conducted in the morning and evening shift, respectively, on September 22.
On September 23, teachers will hold Hindi or Urdu papers of Classes 1 to 5 in morning shift and Classes 6 to 8 in evening shift. On September 25 and 26 teachers will conduct the English and Maths exams, respectively. On September 24, the teachers will review the co-scholastic activities of the student.
The schools heads have also been directed that the half-yearly evaluation of Class 1 children will be on the basis of oral tests.

The council had directed that a committee will be formed at the district-level under the chairmanship of the district Education officer for the preparation of question paper-cum-answer books. These question papers-cum-answer booklets will have to be made available by the district or block office at the level of the complex resource centre by September 15.
From September 16 the question booklets will be handed over to the schools. The council has also directed authorities concerned to set up a control room in all the districts from September 18 to 26 to conduct the half-term exam successfully.
