BTech Admissions 2023: Top engineering colleges in Hyderabad, admission process
Four engineering colleges from Hyderabad were featured in the top 100 colleges in the NIRF engineering rankings 2023. Know BTech admission criteria.

NEW DELHI: The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by the ministry of education ranked four engineering colleges from Hyderabad in the top 100. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad, International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad, University of Hyderabad (UoH) and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU).
The BTech admission 2023 for IITs through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is done by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The JoSAA counselling registration and choice locking facility will end tomorrow.

IIT Hyderabad
NIRF Ranking of IIT Hyderabad has improved this year. It was ranked at 8th position. Admission to all IITs including IIT Hyderabad will be done through JEE Advanced score. The choice-filling and registration process to participate in counselling will be closed tomorrow. Therefore, students who wish to take admission will have make opt their preference before the deadline. IIT-H offers the following BTech programmes

- BTech in Civil Engineering

- BTech in Engineering Physics
- BTech in Engineering Science
- BTech in IC Design & Technology
- BTech in Industrial Chemistry
- BTech in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering
- BTech in Mathematics and Computing
- BTech in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) offers BTech. programmes in 24 disciplines. It was ranked 83 in the NIRF engineering rankings 2023. BTech admission at JNTUH will be done through Engineering, Agriculture & Medicine common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education.
“Three year diploma holders, with engineering common entrance test (ECET) ranking are eligible for admission into BTech Programmes,” the official website read.

IIIT Hyderabad
International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad was ranked 55; jumped 7 positions higher. Admission to BTech programmes at IIIT Hyderabad is done through JEE Main score 2023. Besides, there are other ways to get admission at the institute.
A Special Channel of Admission for BTech programmes is opened for girl students qualified for the UDAAN scheme of CBSE, students who studied at a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) from Class 6 to 12. They will also have to appear in an entrance test conducted by the university. It also offers seats for foreign students, board toppers, olympiad winners and also allows lateral entry. Currently, the application window has been closed.
University of Hyderabad
Ranked 71 in the NIRF India Engineering Rankings 2023, Hyderabad University’s School of Engineering Sciences and Technology (SEST) offers MTech programmes in materials engineering, nanoscience and technology and manufacturing science and engineering and PhD programmes in materials engineering and nanoscience and technology.
