Most of the students who appeared for the CBSE Class 12th exam today found the Hindi paper "manageable" and followed the expected pattern, according to several media reports. As per the teachers, the questions were straightforward and clear, allowing students to effectively demonstrate their understanding and writing skills across the different sections of the Hindi paper.

The board is expected to declare the CBSE Class 12 board exam results 2026 in mid-May. As in previous years, the results were released around May 12–13, such as in 2024 and 2025.

The CBSE plans to introduce competency-based assessments for skill subjects in line with the Programme for International Student Assessment standards. The board will also introduce semiconductor technology as a new skill subject for students from Classes 8 to 12. In addition, an AI course for students from Class 3 onwards is expected to be introduced starting from the 2026–27 academic session.

The CBSE has warned teachers, including those not directly involved in the CBSE Board Exam 2026 evaluation process, of legal action if they share “misleading” or “factually incorrect” information on social media platforms.

According to students' reaction, the 12th Hindi paper 2026 was "easy" and balanced" in difficulty level. On the other hand, some students noted that the literature section required more detailed answers, which increased the difficulty level slightly.

To pass the CBSE board exam 2026, students need to score atleast 33% marks in each subject. Students who score less than 33% marks will have to appear for the compartment or improvement exam to qualify.

According to several media reports, the CBSE 12th Hindi paper ranged from "easy to moderate" in difficulty, with questions structured to help students showcase their understanding of the main concepts.

The CBSE Class 12 Hindi examination will be conducted for a total duration of three hours. The exam will start at 10:30 am and conclude at 1:30 pm. In addition, students will be given 15 minutes of reading time before the exam begins. This time can be used to go through the question paper and decide how to attempt the different sections.

If a candidate is found cheating in any subject, the result for that subject will be cancelled and cannot be replaced with any other subject, including the sixth or seventh subject, to be declared “pass.” The result will instead be placed under the compartment category, and the candidate will be required to appear again for that specific subject. These rules will apply equally to both Class 10 and Class 12 CBSE exams 2026 .
