If a candidate is found cheating in any subject, the result for that subject will be cancelled and cannot be replaced with any other subject, including the sixth or seventh subject, to be declared “pass.” The result will instead be placed under the compartment category, and the candidate will be required to appear again for that specific subject. The CBSE board has begun the Class 12th Hindi paper. The CBSE board Hindi paper will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 across the country for Class 12 students.

Following the cancellation of the Class 12 board exams in several Middle East countries, CBSE has said that the method for declaring results for affected students will be announced separately. The board clarified that all examinations scheduled between March 16 and April 10 now stand cancelled for students in the seven affected countries. Earlier, some of these exams had already been postponed through circulars issued between March 1 and March 9 due to the ongoing conflict in the region.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled the Class 12 board examinations scheduled between March 16 and April 10, 2026 for students studying in CBSE-affiliated schools across several Middle Eastern countries amid the ongoing regional tensions. The decision applies to candidates in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The board said the feasibility of conducting the exams was reviewed based on inputs from schools and local authorities before taking the final decision.

The CBSE Class 12 Hindi question paper is designed to evaluate students’ understanding of the language through multiple sections. The paper includes reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, and literature questions. Each section tests different abilities such as analytical reading, writing clarity, and understanding of Hindi prose and poetry.

The CBSE Class 12 Hindi paper will be held for a duration of three hours, beginning at 10:30 am and ending at 1:30 pm. Students will also be provided 15 minutes of reading time before writing their answers. During this period, candidates can carefully read the question paper and plan how they want to attempt different sections.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Class 12 Hindi Core and Hindi Elective examinations today, March 16. The exam will take place in a single shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm across centres in India. Students appearing for the paper are advised to reach the exam centre well in advance and carry their admit card and school identification for verification before entering the examination hall.
