The board stated that if any school does not have CCTV facilities, it will not be considered as an examination centre for CBSE 10th, 12th board exams 2025 . Also, schools that wish to become an exam centre will have to install CCTV cameras at their own cost.
The CCTV policy has been developed by CBSE to ensure that board exams are conducted in a fair and transparent manner. “All the schools are directed to ensure that they have CCTV installed in their schools as per the policy if they do not have and wish to convey their consent to the Board for fixing their school as an examination centre,” it added.
The CBSE board has also issued the guidelines for use of the CCTV policy in schools during the annual exams including installation, operation, and management of CCTV systems within the exam venues. The main objective of the CBSE CCTV policy is to detect and address the unfair practices during Class 10, 12 board examinations .
