NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10, 12 term 2 board exams began today, April 26, 2022. Over 35 lakhs students will be appearing for the CBSE term 2 exams this year. CBSE Class 10 term 2 exams on six subjects -- painting, Rai, Gurung, Tamang, Sherpa and Thai -- were held.

Unlike Term 1 exams which were conducted in multiple-choice question (MCQ) format, the CBSE term 2 question paper will have different formats such as case-based/ situation based, open-ended- short answer/ long answer type. The board had earlier announced to hold MCQ based exam in case the situation is not conducive for the normal descriptive exam. Although students were demanding to cancel CBSE term 2 exams, the board has decided to hold offline exams.
Over 21.16 lakh candidates will appear for Class 10 board exams at 7,406 centres. As per the CBSE Class 10 term 2 date sheet, students will be appearing for English Language & Literature tomorrow, April 27, 2022.
