NEW DELHI: The CBSE Class 12 biology exam was conducted today, March 16 between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. The biology exam was held for 70 marks. Candidates who took the biology exam found the questions in the Class 12 paper balanced.

The CBSE Class 12 biology exam was held for five sections - A, B, C, D and E. Saying that the paper was balanced, Sonia Saraswat, PGT, Biology, DPS Raj Nagar Extension said: “It was a balanced question paper which was a mix of application and memory-based questions.”

“The difficulty level was same as that of CBSE sample paper. Students found assertion and reason questions a bit tricky, Section B, C and D were of moderate level, while Section E had majorly direct questions. Students who had thoroughly prepared from NCERT will score well, she added.

While PGT Biology, MRG School’s Pooja Hoel analysed the CBSE biology paper as moderate and said that the MCQs were highly scoring.

“The level of biology paper was moderate. MCQs were highly scoring, however few subjective questions were tricky and required critical thinking,” she added, saying that the paper was structured as per CBSE 2023 biology sample paper but the overall paper required technical thinking and application.

Sharing section-wise analysis, Academic Director Bhai Parmanand Vidya Mandir Delhi Pratibha Sharma said that the biology paper was easy to moderate barring a few questions in which the students might have struggled.
