Download NowThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the portal for post-result activities, including verification of marks and re-evaluation of answer books, will become operational from June 1, 2026. In a press statement issued today, the board said this has been done to ensure a transparent and glitch-free process for students seeking verification and re-evaluation of their answer sheets after the declaration of CBSE Class 12 results.
CBSE states that the revised timeline will help maintain the highest standards and protocols of evaluation. Those wishing to apply for post-result services will be able to do so through the designated online portal once it opens on June 1.
CBSE's official post on platform X reads, "In order to ensure a transparent and glitch-free process for verification and re-evaluation of answer books of students who intend to submit their applications on the Post-Result Activities portal, it has been decided that the designated portal will now be operational from 1st June 2026. This is to ensure the highest standards and protocols of evaluation."
CBSE has also advised students and parents to use its support services in case of any queries related to post-result activities. The post further reads, "Students who may have queries may reach out to the CBSE Tele-Counseling Helpline- 1800 11 8004 and Email- resultcbse2026@cbseshiksha.in ."
In a latest update, advocate Vineet Jindal has written to the CBSE and the Ministry of Education over the alleged delay in providing evaluated answer sheet copies to students. He claimed that although the board had assured that all answer sheet copies would be made available by May 27, he has received over 100 emails from students across the country who are still awaiting them. Jindal noted that the verification and re-evaluation process has already begun, making access to evaluated answer sheets crucial for students to identify discrepancies and decide on further action.

Meanwhile, the Government Schools Teachers' Association (GSTA) has urged Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood to withdraw show-cause notices issued to teachers over the decline in CBSE Class 12 results 2026. The association alleged that technical flaws in the newly introduced On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, including blurred scans, missing pages and incorrect uploads, contributed to lower scores. It argued that teachers were unfairly blamed for issues beyond their control and sought a supportive environment instead of punitive action.
The controversy over CBSE's On-Screen Marking (OSM) system escalated after videos of Kendriya Vidyalaya students praising the digital evaluation process went viral. While students in the videos described OSM as transparent and accountable, netizens questioned why some featured students appeared to be from a batch that was not evaluated under OSM. The debate comes amid concerns over answer-sheet mismatches, portal glitches, evaluation discrepancies and legal challenges to the system.
