CG SET 2024 registration begins at vyapam.cgstate.gov.in; apply by June 9

NEW DELHI: The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) has begun the registration process for the Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test (CG SET 2024). Eligible candidates should fill out the CG SET 2024 application form by June 9 through the official website, vyapam.cgstate.gov.in.

As per the schedule, the CG SET 2024 exam will take place on July 21 for 1 subjects. The exam will have two papers: paper 1, paper 2. Paper 1 will be held from 10 am to 11:15 am while paper 2 will begin from 2 pm to 4:15 pm. The application form correction window will be open for three days from June 10 to 12, 2024.

As per the official notice, candidates who are residents of Chhattisgarh are exempted from paying any application fee while candidates from other states will have to pay Rs 700 to register for the CG SET 2024. The exam will take place in eight districts across the state, including Ambikapur, Bilaspur, Durg, Jagdalpur, Raipur, Dantewada, Kanker, and Jashpur.

Candidates should have passed or be appearing for a postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. Candidates belonging to reserved classes such as scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), other backward classes (OBC) will have to receive a 5% relaxation. There is no upper age limit set forth by the authorities for the exam.

CG SET 2024: Exam pattern

The Chhattisgarh SET paper 1 exam will have 50 questions and common for all candidates. Paper 2 is a subject-specific paper and has 100 questions. The paper 1 exam will be conducted for a duration of one hour while paper 2 will be conducted for two hours. Candidates will be awarded two marks for each correct answer and no marks will be deducted for the wrong answer.
