CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam begins today; schedule, timings, guidelines

CSIR NET 2024: On July 25 and 26 will be held in two shifts- from 9 am to 12 noon and second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.
NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) 2024 exam from today, July 25. The CSIR NET 2024 exam on July 25 and 26 will be held in two shifts- first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The CSIR NET 2024 exam will be held in online CBT mode.
The CSIR NET 2024 will be conducted online for a duration of 3 hours. The exam comprises 200 objective-type questions covering mathematical sciences, physical sciences, life sciences, earth, atmospheric, ocean, and planetary sciences, and chemical sciences. Negative marking will be applicable for incorrect answers.

CSIR NET 2024 exam day guidelines
Candidates can have a look at the CSIR NET 2024 exam day guidelines below.
- Ensure that your most recent passport-sized, colored photograph is securely attached to the admit card.
- Bring your CSIR NET 2024 admit card along with a valid original photo identification proof to the test centre. Acceptable identification proofs include a passport, driver's license, Voter ID, Card, PAN card, Aadhar Card.
- Candidates who arrive late to the test centre will not be allowed entry once the gates are closed, regardless of the reason.
- Prohibited items include cell phones, calculators, watch calculators, alarm clocks, digital watches with built-in calculators, memory or any electronic or smart devices.
- Candidates are required to remain seated until the completion of the exam. Re-entry into the test hall after submission of the test is not permitted.
- Any attempt at impersonation or malpractice caught at any stage will result in the disqualification of the candidate and may lead to appropriate legal action.
