NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to declare the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) July 2024 results and score card soon on the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in. The CSIR UGC NET exam is conducted twice every year for awarding research fellowships for training in methods of research under expert guidance of faculty members or scientists working in university departments, national laboratories and institutions in various fields of science.
Along with the CSIR UGC NET results 2024, the final answer key will also be uploaded. The provisional answer key for the exam was issued on August 8 and candidates were allowed to raise objections till August 11.
The computer-based test (CBT) was administered in 348 exam centres located in 187 cities on July 25, 26 and 27. A total of 2,25,335 candidates registered for the exam.
CSIR NET normalisation method
The CSIR UGC NET exam was held in two shifts for earth, atmospheric, ocean and planetary sciences, physical sciences, life sciences, mathematical sciences, life sciences, chemical sciences papers.
As per the normalisation method, the raw score obtained by the candidates in each session is converted into percentile scores ranging between 100 to 0. The percentile score is calculated by multiplying 100 into the number of candidates with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate and dividing it by the total number of candidates who appeared in the session.
“The Percentile Scores will be calculated up to 7 decimal places to avoid bunching effect and reduce ties,” it said.
