Check NowNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised the exam dates for the 20th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) due to administrative reasons. As per the official notices the CTET December 2024 exam will now be held on December 15.

Earlier, the CTET 2024 exam for the December session was scheduled for December 1. “In case the number of candidates is more in any city, the exam may also be conducted on 14th December 2024,” the official notice read.
The registration process for the CTET December 2024 exam is underway and the last date to fill out the CTET 2024 application form is October 16. Eligible candidates can apply for the CTET December 2024 exam online through the official website at ctet.nic.in.
The board has reduced the number of exam centres to 132 for the December session, following the July session, which had 184 cities. The CTET 2024 will take place in two shifts. The morning shift is scheduled from 9:30 am to 12 pm, while the evening shift will run from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.

CTET 2024: Eligibility criteria
The CTET will consist of two papers including Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates intending to teach students from Classes 1 to 5 must take CTET Paper 1. Meanwhile, those who wish to teach students from Classes 6 to 8 are required to appear for CTET Paper 2. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for both papers in the table below.
