First state university to adopt CUET: AUD VC

“AUD is the first state university to opt for CUET exam for admission 2022-23,” Anu Singh, vice chancellor, Ambedkar University, said during a press conference this morning. The merit list for Ambedkar University UG admissions will not be based on Class 12 marks now.

Ambedkar University announces admission policy

Ambedkar University, Delhi (AUD) has announced its admission policy for undergraduate programmes. The Ambedkar University admission 2022 for UG courses will be done through CUET 2022 scores.

“We choose to come into the CUET system as we believe that students must not get any pressure and have a single window similar to Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), etc.,” Anu Singh Lather, vice chancellor, AUD, said during a press conference today.

CUET: Can students switch streams?

Yes, it is very much possible for the students to change their streams. Candidates must look at the individual universities eligibility criteria and appear for the test accordingly. They should choose language courses and domain tests related to the subjects they wish to opt for higher studies. 

CUET 2022 exam date

NTA has announced that the CUET 2022 entrance exam will be conducted in the first and second week of July. The exact dates for CUCET exam 2022 have not been announced yet.

DU SOL Admission 2022

The admission to School of Open Learning, University of Delhi will be based on the Class 12 marks and not on the basis of CUET scores. The DU SOL admission form 2022 will be released on May 6.

Dr BR Ambedkar University Delhi: Supernumerary seats for UG are 800. "For AUD, space is the biggest constraint. If we get 2 more campuses, we are willing to take in 30,000 students," says Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University vice-chancellor Anu Singh Lather. 

"We choose to come into CUET system as we believe that students must not get any pressure and have a single-window similarly like JEE, NEET, etc. Going into NTA will be the most viable and good option. We are targeting more than 15 percent quota available to all Indian students. We are looking forward to getting some visibility through NTA," said Anu Singh Lather, Dr BR Ambedkar University Delhi.

"Previously we were taking marks of CBSE or any 12th board exams as minimum eligibility, which has not changed. The change is that CUET score will decide the merit of the student for admissions," said Anu Singh Lather, vice-chancellor of Dr BR Ambedkar University Delhi.

Ambedkar University Delhi will conduct undergraduate admissions under the CUET exam. CUET score will be considered only for undergraduate admission. For all the BA Hons courses in languages like English, Hindi, etc, students must have the language as mandatory and rest any 3 subjects.

CUET 2022 fee much higher than DU's, says teachers

The Delhi University teachers have pointed out that the fee of CUET 2022 is higher than last years' DU registration fee and the students have to pay processing fee and GST charges, apart from application fee. Earlier, students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) were required to pay only Rs 100, and others had to pay only Rs 250.

M K Stalin, chief minister of Tamil Nadu has written a letter to prime minister, Narendra Modi and said that CUET based on NCERT syllabus will sideline our diverse education system and will put students from our state in disadvantageous position. He added that it will only favour the mushrooming of coaching institutions.

NEET UG, CUET 2022 registration to begin by tomorrow: NTA officials

Speaking to Careers360 an NTA official has confirmed that the application process of CUET 2022 and NEET UG 2022 will begin by tomorrow. Earlier, an NTA official told Careers360 that the NEET UG application 2022 will begin by April 10 and the examination is expected to be held in July.

DU 2022 admission process for minority colleges 

The Delhi University’s Vice Chancellor, Yogesh Singh on Tuesday announced that the admissions to minority colleges like Jesus and Mary College, SGTB Khalsa College and St Stephen’s College will also be done through CUET 2022. The merit list will be prepared by 85% weightage of CUET entrance test 2022 scores and remaining 15% weightage will be decided by colleges.
