Download NowNEW DELHI : Delhi University (DU) faculties have proposed launching two new courses – MBA in Business Analytics, and BA (Hons) Psychology through distance learning. The DU Academic Council will meet on January 25 to discuss the courses.

The MBA in Business Analytics will be offered as a regular programme by the Faculty of Business and Commerce and the BA (Hons) Psychology course will be offered through open and distance learning (ODL) by the Faculty of Open Learning.
The Faculty of Business and Commerce already offers two MBA programmes – in international business and human resource development. Delhi University’s School of Open Learning (SOL) launched six courses in 2022 including an MBA.
DU admission, course details
“The focus of MBA (BA) is aimed at improving the students ‘abilities in data analysis and helping them to become a competent decision maker and business leader who can contribute to nation Building,” the programme brochure submitted by the Faculty of Business and Commerce said. The proposal recommends launching the course from the forthcoming academic year, 2023-24.

The MBA (BA) programme is a two-year course divided into four-semesters and consists of 112 credits. There will be 60 seats in total for the programme. The course will teach topics such as management and organisational behaviour, marketing management, accounting and economics for managers, business statistics and research methods and operations management.
If approved, the BA (Hons) psychology course offered by the Faculty of Open Learning will require students to have at least 50 percent in their Class 12 examinations to get admission into the course. The course will include topics such as bio psychology, cognitive psychology, among others. The total fees for studying BA (Hons) psychology through the ODL mode will be Rs 15,200.
