DU UG Admission 2026: Sports trial schedule out for supernumerary quota; check details

Download NowThe University of Delhi (DU) has announced the schedule for sports trials for admission to undergraduate programmes under the sports supernumerary quota for the 2026 academic session. The DU UG sports trials will be held from July 29 to August 3 at various colleges and sports venues across Delhi.

According to the Delhi University sports council, the sports trials will cover more than 25 disciplines, including athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, cricket, football, hockey, swimming, wrestling, volleyball, judo, chess, shooting, taekwondo and table tennis for men and women.
The sports trials will begin on July 29 with events such as archery, women's badminton, women's basketball, boxing, men's cricket, women's football, women's handball, men's hockey, women's netball, squash, table tennis and weightlifting. Athletics, men's badminton, chess, women's cricket, fencing, men's football, kabaddi, kho-kho, shooting, tennis and men's volleyball will be conducted on July 30.

On July 31, the university will organise trials for men's baseball, men's basketball, gymnastics, men's handball, women's hockey, judo, women's kabaddi, women's kho-kho, women's softball, women's volleyball and wrestling. The sports trials will conclude on August 3 with swimming events.
DU UG admission sports trials schedules
Candidates must appear in proper sports attire and carry sport-specific equipment wherever required. For instance, badminton players should bring Yonex AS shuttlecocks, chess players should carry a chessboard and chess clock, cricket players should bring an SG Tournament ball, while shooting candidates must carry their pellets, weapons, ammunition and gas.

The university has directed candidates to bring a printed copy of the CSAS (UG) 2026 application form along with a valid identity proof while reporting for the trials. Candidates have also been instructed to report 30 minutes before the scheduled reporting time, as latecomers will not be allowed to participate.

DU Sports Trial 2026: Important instructions

Carry a printed copy of the CSAS (UG) 2026 application form and a valid identity proof.

Report at the venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled reporting time.

Wear a proper playing kit during the sports trial.

Bring sport-specific equipment wherever applicable.

Be prepared for the sports trial to continue for an extended duration if required.

Parents and guardians will not be allowed inside the sports trial venue.
The university has also advised candidates to remain available for the entire duration of the sports trial, as the process may be extended depending on the number of participants. Parents or guardians accompanying candidates will not be permitted inside the sports trial venues.
