GATE 2022: Exam day guidelines, timings, dress code

IIT Kharagpur has released the GATE 2022 exam day guidelines at gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Check the allowed dress code and day-wise GATE 2022 exam timings.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur will hold the GATE 2022 exam on February 5, 6, 12, and 13, 2022. The admit card for GATE 2022 has been released on January 15 at gate.iitkgp.ac.in containing GATE 2022 exam day guidelines. Candidates are advised to follow the same during the examination. The complete guideline includes exam day instructions, do’s and don’t for GATE 2022, the exam timing and the dress code to be followed at the GATE 2022 exam centre.

GATE 2022 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates must reach the examination centre one hour before the exam commencement.

Carry GATE 2022 admit card and one valid identity proof to the examination hall.

To follow the covid-19 guidelines, candidates must wear a mask and carry sanitiser with them. It is also required to disclose the exact health details to the examination in charge.

Candidates must carry their own pen, pencil for the GATE 2022 exam centres.

The scribble pads will be allotted to each candidate by the examination authorities. They must submit the scribbled paper, back to the invigilator, after the examination.

GATE 2022 Dress Code To Be Followed
Candidates are advised to avoid wearing clothes with too many pockets. Unnecessary accessories such as shrug stole or any fancy item must be avoided during GATE 2022 exam. It is advisable to wear lightweight, simple dresses in the examination centre. Candidates are advised to follow the below-mentioned suggestions for the GATE 2022 dress code, to avoid any discrepancy in the examination hall:

Any paper (other than admit card and valid ID proof) is prohibited inside the examination premises.

Only transparent water bottles are allowed inside GATE 2022 exam centres.

Any ornament, goggles or smartwatch will not be allowed inside the examination hall.

Candidates must check if they are not carrying any metal items with them. Metal items are disallowed.

Any personal belongings such as wallets, handbags, belts will not be allowed as per the GATE 2022 exam day guidelines.
