Gujarat & Maharashtra Board SSC, HSC Board Exams Likely to be Conducted in May 2021

Enrol NowNEW DELHI : Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board and Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will conduct 10th, 12th Board exams in May 2021. Usually, the exam dates of Maharashtra and GSEB Board falls in February and March, but this year SSC and HSC exams will not be held before May 2021.
This decision has been made by the Board officials in regard to the safety of student’s health in unprecedented times of COVID-19 pandemic.
As per the reports of Times now news, “Gaikwad pointed out that the students have not had any physical classes this year. She also said that normally the exams are conducted earlier. The State Government, hence, would want to conduct classes first. Also, there are no alternatives and that the Maharashtra SSC, HSC board examinations 2021 should be postponed.”
The report further added that “As per Gujarat Board officials, the second session will now extend to 155 days instead of the normal period of between 115 to 120 days. The process of filling up of Board examination forms would begin after Diwali vacations, said Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama”.
In addition to this, the report also said that the Maharashtra Board is all set to reopen the school for Classes 9 to 12 from November 23, 2020.
Earlier, Gujarat and Maharashtra Board reduced the Class 10 and 12 syllabus by 25 to 30 per cent for the academic session 2020-21. Students can download the revised syllabus by visiting the official website of the respective Boards.
