NEW DELHI: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board will commence the registration process for Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2025 from tomorrow, December 17. Students seeking admission in the engineering, pharmacy diploma, degree courses will be able to fill the GUJCET 2025 application form through the official website of GSEB at gseb.org.
As per the schedule, the GUJCET 2025 application process will continue till December 31, 2024. The GUJCET 2025 exam will be conducted by the Gujarat Board for Group A, Group B, and Group AB students of HSC science stream.
“The application form for GUJCET-2025 examination can be filled up ONLINE at the Board website www.gseb.org and gujcet.gseb.org from 17-12-2024 to 31-12-2024,” the official notice read.
Last year, a total of 1,37,799 candidates appeared for the state-level engineering entrance exam, with 75,558 boys and 62,241 girls. While there were speculations about GUJCET being replaced by JEE Main for the 2025 academic year, the state board's latest notification has clarified these uncertainties.
As per the official notification, JEE Main 2025 will not replace the GUJCET exam for admissions to engineering and pharmacy programs.

GUJCET 2025 application fee
Candidates need to pay an online application fee of Rs 350 to register for GUJCET 2025. The GUJCET 2025 application fee can be paid through SBlePay System (Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking) or from any SBI Branch of the country through SBlePay Option of "SBI Branch Payment."
GUJCET 2025 exam pattern
According to the issued notice, the GUJCET question paper for Physics and Chemistry will be combined, consisting of 40 questions from Physics and 40 from Chemistry, making a total of 80 questions worth 80 marks. Candidates will have 120 minutes to complete it, with an OMR answer sheet provided for 80 responses.
While, the question papers for Biology and Mathematics will be separate, and each will have its own OMR answer sheet, with 40 questions worth 40 marks and 60 minutes allocated for each subject.
