Haryana announces winter vacation for schools from January 1 to 15
Haryana CMO has requested schools in the state to comply with the schedule.

NEW DELHI: The Haryana chief minister office has announced that the winter vacation in the state will start from January 1, 2024. The CMO gave the information on the X.
The winter vacation will be for 15 days and end on January 15, 2024. “In the context of the above subject, you are informed that winter vacation is declared in all government and private schools of the state from January 1, 2024 to January 15, 2024. Schools will be reopened from January 16, 2024 (Tuesday),” the CMO’s X post said.
The CMO has requested the schools to ensure compliance with the schedule.
The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will hold winter vacation in schools of the state from December 25, 2023. Meanwhile in Delhi, winter vacation has been reduced from 15 to six days and will begin from January 1, 2024.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration is also “seriously” considering winter vacation for schools in the valley in view of the minimum temperatures dropping below the freezing point over the last three days, a senior official said on Wednesday. "I cannot say anything definitely till a formal announcement is made but we are seriously considering it (winter vacations). A proposal has been submitted in this regard (to the administration),” Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, V K Bhiduri told reporters here.
