IIFT 2018 Result announced; 594 students selected for final admissions

New Delhi, April 11: Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi, has announced the final result of IIFT 2018 exam for its MBA(IB) programme. A total of 594 candidates (Delhi – 299 and Kolkata – 295) have been selected for admissions to the institute’s Delhi and Kolkata campus. Earlier, the institute shortlisted 1976 candidates for the selection rounds which included Group Discussion, Writing Skill Assessment and Personal Interview. The exam was conducted in 20 major cities of the country on December 3, 2017, and around 60,000 test takers appeared for it.

The institute declared the exam result on January 13 and the shortlisted candidates based on the exam score were called for the selection rounds. The cutoff for General category students was 35.50. The selection rounds were conducted during the month of January and February across multiple cities. Last year, the number of shortlisted candidates for selection rounds was 1500.

The result cum scorecard displays candidate’s name, DOB, roll number, application number, sectional score, overall score and sectional cutoff.

Number of Seats

The official intake for the programme at the Delhi and Kolkata campus is 220 and 140 respectively. However, the institute has selected 299 students for its Delhi campus and 295 for the Kolkata campus.

IIFT 2018 (MBA-IB) exam was conducted in offline mode and carried a total of 114 questions to be answered in 2 hours. The objective-type test of 100 marks had six sections – Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, and Quantitative Aptitude. IIFT offers a two-year full-time MBA in International Business programme through this test.
