IIM Jammu convocation 2022 postponed as President Ram Nath Kovind cancels visit

IIM Jammu 5th annual convocation event was scheduled to be held on April 27, 2022 at at the convention centre at Gulami Bagh, Canal Road, Jammu.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has postponed its fifth annual convocation event which was scheduled to be held on April 27, 2022, as the chief guest, Ram Nath Kovind, President of India cannot make it to the event on the scheduled date.
IIM Jammu annual convocation 2022 was scheduled to be held at the convention centre at Gulami Bagh, Canal Road, Jammu. Kovind was to deliver the convocation address on April 27. But due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the visit of the President to the IIM Jammu convocation was postponed, said a statement from IIM Jammu.

"Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu was to hold its 5th Annual Convocation 2022 on 27th April 2022 at the Convention Centre, Gulami Bagh, Canal Road, Jammu. Shri Ramnath Kovind, Hon’ble President of India was the Chief Guest on the occasion and deliver the convocation address. Due to unavoidable circumstances, the visit of the Hon'ble President of India to IIM Jammu Convocation stands postponed until further orders," said the statement.
The revised dates of the IIM Jammu convocation 2022 have not been confirmed yet by the institute.
