IIM Kozhikode, Emeritus launch professional certificate programme in product management

NEW DELHI: Recognizing the growing demand for skilled product managers, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has teamed up with Emeritus to introduce the professional certificate programme in product management. The programme aims to equip learners with industry-relevant skills in product management, including hands-on training on generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
The programme, which commences on June 26, offers a pathway for aspiring product managers to develop a product mindset, strategic thinking, and market analysis skills. Upon completion and achieving a minimum grade of 70%, participants will receive a certificate from IIM Kozhikode, enhancing their professional credentials and career prospects in the dynamic field of product management, the official statement read.
Certificate course in product management: Eligibility
This programme from IIM Kozhikode is tailored for entry-level managers, entrepreneurs, and mid to senior-level managers aiming to enhance their product development, strategy, and analytics capabilities. The course spans 39 weeks and features pre-recorded sessions by top IIM faculty and industry experts, real-world case studies, and modules on generative AI, among other components.
Eligible candidates include graduates and diploma holders from recognized universities.
Participants in this programme will gain insights into new product development, product strategies, customer journey mapping, and user persona analysis. The programme covers topics such as product road mapping, prototyping, pricing strategies, and marketing communication strategies.
Debashis Chatterjee, director of IIM Kozhikode, highlighted the surging demand for skilled product managers in today's market, and said that the comprehensive curriculum of the programme aligns with industry needs, helping professionals transition into successful product managers.
Mohan Kannegal, chief executive officer of Emeritus, highlighted the critical role of product managers in driving innovation and customer satisfaction, and said the programme's unique focus will be on generative AI providing learners with practical skills to excel in their roles.
