IIT Kanpur's ‘C3iHub’ launches cybersecurity skilling programme: Training free for SC, ST students
IIT Kanpur's cybersecurity technology innovation hub, named C3iHub launched the cybersecurity skilling programme in Noida.

NEW DELHI: The cybersecurity technology innovation hub of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, named C3iHub launched its cybersecurity skilling programme recently, a statement from the institute said. Chairman of the National commission for Scheduled castes, Vijay Sampla launched the programme at a ceremony in Noida.
The official notification released by the institute further said that the programme is free-of-cost for the scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) students.
The C3iHub is supported by the department of science and technology of the government of India. The programme launched by the hub is aimed at providing the learners with insights on cyberspace and cyber issues, introduce real time cybersecurity techniques and methods, and focus on models, tools and techniques for enforcing security.

On the occasion, chief guest Sampla lauded the efforts of C3iHub for its contribution in the field of cybersecurity and its efforts in training and empowering students in the area of cybersecurity. He also touched upon various programmes being led by the National commission for Scheduled castes in India. Sampla said: "These days, cyber crime is the biggest problem we are facing, and C3iHub is playing a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and secure cyber world".
Project director of C3iHub, Manindra Agrawal said: "The programme will pave the way for the students in learning from a basic to an advanced level of cybersecurity, which will make them future ready".
In the programme, it was informed that the deadline to apply for the cybersecurity programme is April 30, 2023.
