IIT Madras to host Open House 2022 to showcase projects, accomplishments by students
IIT Madras CFI Open House 2022 to be held on March 13; IITM students can connect with experts, industrialists.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras’ Centre For Innovation (CFI) is set to conduct the 13th edition of the CFI “Open House,” an event to display the recent projects and accomplishments of IIT Madras students on March 13, 2022. The IIT Madras CFI Open House 2022 will enable students to connect with experts and prominent industrialists, said a statement from IITM.
The IIT Madras CFI will host the ‘Open House 2022’ in both online and offline modes. The offline venue is at the terrace hall (second floor), campus canteen building, IIT Madras. The event can be attended online on ‘Gather Town,’ a Metaverse platform.
The event will begin on March 13, at 12.45 pm, and will be inaugurated by professor V Kamakoti, the director of IIT Madras

The Centre For Innovation at IIT Madras is a student lab founded in the year 2008 with the objective to encourage innovation among engineers and to find solutions to real-world problems. According to the IIT Madras statement, CFI is the largest student-run 24-7 innovation lab in India. It also hosts 13 clubs and four competing teams.

IIT Madras was recently selected by the department of science and technology , under the ministry of science and technology of the Union government to contribute to the Gender Advancement for Transforming Institutions initiative (GATI) of the government for improving women ratio in STEM (Science, Technology Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.
