IIT Madras invites applications for executive MBA programme; apply by October 10
EMBA programme is designed for mid-career working professionals. Classes will start from January 2023.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has started registration for its Executive MBA (EMBA) Degree programme, designed specifically for mid-career working professionals. Beginning in January 2023, the EMBA programme is a weekend-only programme. The classes will take place on alternate weekends both in physical and virtual mode.
Candidates who enrol in the EMBA programme will gain experience in social media and internet marketing. According to an IIT Madras statement, the students will learn about "digital economy, global strategy, Industry 4.0 technologies, cyber security, applications, business models, and innovation."

EMBA Programme: Eligibility
To be eligible, a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of industry experience. The final selection would be based on the entrance exam and interview conducted by the Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras.

Interested candidates can apply at the official website: doms.iitm.ac.in. The last date to apply is October 10, 2022.
EMBA Programme: Structure
The two-year EMBA programme at IIT Madras will help working professionals in their mid-career with industry knowledge , business decisions, and leadership.
- Functional Foundation
The EMBA programme will include a functional foundation that will provide an in-depth understanding of various aspects of the business.
- Integrated Perspective
The integrated perspective will cover everything from strategic perspectives to cross-functional challenges and inter-departmental synergies.

- Global Leadership
Global leadership will foster business skills such as growth, profitability, and sustainability.
- Final Project
Three Capstone projects will assist a candidate in gaining a deeper understanding of advanced management concepts.
Addressing the working professionals, M Thenmozhi, Head of IIT Madras said, “The EMBA programme of the department has been steadily receiving overwhelming support from the industry. The students are diverse with an average experience of 11 years and come from different domains in the industry. The programme leverages the Department’s strong faculty resources, cutting-edge research, and experiential learning.”
