IMI Kolkata records 100 per cent placement; Highest package at Rs 14 LPA
IMI Kolkata placement session 2023 saw a rise in new recruiters by 41 per cent. The highest number of recruitment was made by the BFSI sector.

NEW DELHI: International Management Institute Kolkata (IMI) has concluded its final placements with 100 per cent achievement for the outgoing batch of 2021-23 of its flagship PGDM programme. A total of 93 companies participated in the recruitment process among them 36 were new recruiters.
According to the official placement report, the highest package was Rs 14 LPA which has been offered by Atomberg Technologies. The average salary package stood at Rs 10.45 LPA, while the median salary offered to the students was Rs 10.5 LPA.
The campus placements saw improvement in several areas such as average compensation package, number of offers per recruiter, new recruiters, quality and diversity of recruiters and enhanced job roles.
This year IMI Kolkata placement session saw a rise in new recruiters by 41 per cent. The highest number of recruitment was made by the BFSI sector (46 per cent). The average salary of the top 25 per cent, 50 per cent and 75 per cent of the batch stood at Rs 11.26 LPA, Rs 11.11 LPA and Rs 10.80 LPA respectively.
The PGDM Batch 2021-23 saw students opting for Marketing followed by Finance as their most preferred specialization. The domain-wise breakup is given below:
- Marketing – 87 per cent
- Finance – 64 per cent
- Management Information Systems and Analytics – 14 per cent
- Operations – 17 per cent
- OB & HR – 13 per cent
A wide range of profiles was offered such as Associate - Cyber Risk Advisory, Cyber Strategy Management, Associate – SASS, Business Analyst, Business Associate - Research & Benchmarking, Management Trainee - Digital Operations & Platforms, Senior Executive - Global Transfer Pricing Centre, Relationship Manager - Private Wealth, Manager - Controls Assurance, Associate Business Development, Tax Consulting, Assistant Manager - Talent Acquisition and others to name a few.
Recruiters like Grant Thornton LLP, HSBC (India), Tata Play Ltd, IFFCO, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, Dr Lal Pathlabs, Firstsource Solutions Limited, Volvo, Amazon, Mars Wrigley, ICICI Prudential AMC, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Reliance BP Mobility Ltd., CARE Ratings and others also participated in this year's recruitment drive.
