ISC exams postponed and ICSE class 10 is optional for students

CISCE has postponed ISC exams due to a surge in COVID-19 cases. Students can opt to appear for ICSE class 10 exam 2021 as per their choice.

Download NowNEW DELHI : Following the CBSE board, CISCE has also postponed the ISC exam 2021 for Class 12. Along with this, the council has also make ICSE class 10 exam 2021 optional for students. Students can appear for these board exams when they are conducted. Otherwise, they will get marks as per a fair and unbiased criterion to be developed by the board.

Earlier, Class 10 ICSE exams were scheduled between May 4 and June 7, 2021. Whereas Class 12 exams were already started on April 8, 2021 and were scheduled to conclude on June 18, 2021. Now, the rest exams of the ISC board have been postponed until further notice.
ICSE exams latest updates
Class 12 exams have been deferred and the council will closely monitor the situation and a final decision regarding the exams will be taken by the first week of June 2021. Students should stay tuned with the official website, cisce.org to get all updates and latest news
ICSE updates for class 10 2021
ISC examinations will be conducted at a later date as per the council’s decision. That time, ICSE students will have the following two options:

To write the offline examination, along with the class 12 ISC candidates OR
-
Not to write the offline ICSE exam 2021
ICSE Class 10 marking criteria
For students who opt for ICSE second option, the council will develop a fair and unbiased criterion for preparing the results of such students.
The new assessment scheme for Class 10 is to be announced soon by the council. Students will get marks as per the ICSE assessment scheme.

The decision to postpone ISC and make ICSE exams optional were made due to a spike in COVID-19 cases which was seen in the last few days. CBSE board has also postponed Class 12 exams and cancelled Class 10 exams .
