ITM University hosts industry-focused events to bridge academia and real-world skills
ITM University: The event highlights expert talks on NEP 2020 and skill development, along with the IIT E-Summit 2025. The sessions connected students with industry leaders, fostering practical learning and entrepreneurship.

NEW DELHI: ITM University recently organised a series of events to equip students with industry-relevant skills, entrepreneurial insights, and knowledge of educational reforms. The sessions included expert-led discussions and the IIT E-Summit 2025, which exposed students to industry leaders and facilitated a learning environment that bridges academia and real-world applications.
The series began on January 10 with a talk on “Industry Expectations and Desired Skills from Gen Z.” Director of Global Strategic Marketing at Schneider Electric, Ankesh Kumar, led the session. During the session, he highlighted the need for digital proficiency, leadership, adaptability, and effective communication as essential skills for success in the workforce. He also encouraged students to engage in learning and upgrade their skills to align with industry requirements.
Focus on skill-based learning
On January 29, ITM University held an expert talk on the “Awareness on NEP 2020”. Jasmine Jha and Richa Singh led the session, which provided a detailed discussion on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. They discussed the structural reforms of NEP 2020, its long-term impact, and role in transforming India’s higher education landscape. The discussion emphasised the importance of flexible, skill-based education system.
IIT E-Summit 2025 highlights
As per the institute, the highlight of the series was the IIT E-Summit 2025, which took place on February 1 and February 2. It brought together entrepreneurs, industry experts, and investors. The summit connected theoretical knowledge with practical business applications through interactive workshops, case studies, and networking opportunities.
Students pitched their ideas, sought mentorship, and explored funding possibilities. “The summit provided a roadmap for young entrepreneurs, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and vision required to build successful ventures,” the press release said.

Namita Soni highlights the learning ecosystem
