Try NowNEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 session 1 BArch, BPlanning exams today. The exam timings for JEE Main paper 2A, 2B is 3 pm to 6.30 pm. Along with the exam day guidelines, the NTA has also informed candidates about the JEE dress code.

The NTA officials have released the JEE Main guidelines on dress code at the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.
The latest advisory issued by the testing agency also has the list of items prohibited inside the exam centre and the things allowed inside the exam hall. The JEE Main dress code guidelines have been issued to curb the use of unfair means.
Electronic devices, calculators, bluetooth devices, watches, mobile phones and other communication devices are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
JEE Main 2024 dress code
The key points of the JEE Main dress code guidelines are as follows.
- Students should not wear any kind of jewellery or ornaments or any kind of metallic items or any cloth or items containing metal.
- Wearing a cap, stole, dupatta, scarf, muffler or any cloth that covers the head is prohibited.
- Candidates are advised to opt for open footwear such as slippers or sandals.
- Students should also avoid wearing goggles, rings, bracelets, or any such items.
- Wear simple and comfortable clothes. Avoid wearing something with too many pockets.
To facilitate the implementation of the dress code, examination centres will have designated frisking zones. Metal detectors and other security measures will be used to ensure the highest level of scrutiny.
