NEW DELHI: The ministry of education, state governments, and some higher educational institutes offer free coaching classes for national-level entrance exams such as Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main 2025), National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test undergraduate (NEET UG 2025). The objective of the free coaching schemes is to impart good quality coaching, especially for students belonging to scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and other socially and economically backward castes.

The free coaching classes and study tools have been made available on the respective official websites and through mobile applications. The objective of these free coaching sessions is to improve the time management, impart knowledge, reduce errors, and help students prepare for national-level competitive exams.

Class 12 students will also be able to access mock tests to better understand the exam pattern of India’s largest entrance exams - JEE Main and NEET. Besides BTech and MBBS, the free coaching classes also provide resources and study materials for government jobs such as SSC, and UPSC civil service exams.

Take a look at the free coaching scheme for Class 12 preparing for the upcoming engineering, medical, and other UG entrance exams.

NCERT’s Sathee

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has launched a new initiative, the Self Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams (SATHEE) scheme, aimed at helping students prepare for competitive exams like JEE Mains 2025, NEET UG 2025, and government services (SSC) free of cost.

The official portal of Sathee, sathee.prutor.ai/live-sessions/cbse/, hosts subject-wise live sessions for Classes 9 to 12. It also provides self-help videos wherein students will be able to learn about the exam pattern and how to do performance analysis. In short, the website helps students “learn concepts, practice questions, and take tests”.

National Test Abhyaas’ App

The National Testing Agency (NTA) launched the ‘National Test Abhyaas’ in May 2020 for the JEE and NEET aspirants to prepare for these exams efficiently. Students will have “access to real exam level mock tests crafted by the best faculties and personalised score improvement reports”, the NTA said.

The portal provides a flexible option for students to take daily 3 hours mock tests as per their convenience. The total and subject-wise scores will be displayed after each test for students to analyse their performance. “Students will receive correct answers with explanations. They will also be able to evaluate time spent by them on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics individually,” it added.
