Try NowThe National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for candidates appearing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 1 in Nanded, Maharashtra. The advisory cites possible traffic disruptions on January 24 due to the “Hind Di Chadar” Samagam being organised by the Maharashtra government in tribute to Guru Tej Bahadur Ji.

According to the advisory, traffic movement across Nanded city may be affected on the day of the event. Candidates whose examination centres are located in Nanded have been advised to plan their travel in advance and report to the centres well before the reporting time.
The agency has also asked candidates to carry their JEE Main 2026 admit card along with a valid government-issued photo identity card, as these may be checked during security or traffic inspections.
“Candidates with exam centres for JEE (main) 2026 Session -1 in Nanded are advised to report well in advance and carry their Admit Card along with a valid government-issued photo ID. Admit cards may be checked during security/traffic checks,” the NTA posted on X.
JEE Main 2026 admit cards for Jan 28-29 pending
The NTA has not yet issued the JEE Main 2026 admit cards for the January 28 and January 29 exams. Candidates will be able to download the JEE Main 2026 session 1 admit card for the January 28 and 29 exam through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, once out.
Earlier, the NTA issued a notice stating that the JEE Main 2026 examination scheduled in West Bengal on January 23 has been rescheduled due to the celebration of Saraswati Puja in the state. The agency said candidates originally allotted January 23 in West Bengal will be assigned an alternative exam date from the existing Session 1 schedule.
JEE Main 2026 session 1 shift analysis
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examinations for BE and BTech programmes are being conducted from January 21 to January 29. Exams are scheduled on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28 in two shifts each day.
Based on student feedback and expert inputs, the difficulty level of papers conducted between January 21 and January 23 varied across shifts. Mathematics was reported as time-consuming in several shifts, chemistry showed variation across days, and physics was largely reported as formula-based.
