CBSE begins registration for 14,967 teaching, other vacancies in KVS, NVS

KVS, NVS Recruitment 2025: The last date to apply for TGT, PGT, PRT, non-teaching posts is December 4. Know eligibility criteria, application fee, exam scheme.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has notified 14,967 vacancies for the direct recruitment of teaching and non-teaching posts in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Sangathan (NVS). The registration for KVS, NVS recruitment 2025 has commenced on the official websites -- cbse.gov.in, kvsangathan.nic.in, and navodaya.gov.in.
Along with the vacancies, CBSE has issued the eligibility, pay scale, age limit, mode of selection among other details. The last date to apply for the various posts including Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Primary Teachers (PRTs), principal, assistant commissioner, special educator , others in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) is December 4.
KVS, NVS Recruitment 2025: Exam fee
The candidates will be required to pay the examination fee and processing fee during the online application. Those belonging to the SC, ST, PwBD, and ex-servicemen categories are exempted from fee payment. However, each and every applicant will have to pay the processing of Rs 500. CBSE Recruitment 2025: Exam scheme
There will be a two-tier exam. Tier 1 will be a preliminary exam in OMR mode. The duration of all the papers except that for MTS will be two hours. The exam pattern is given below.

There will be an exam followed by an interview for the following 10 posts. The merit list will be prepared by giving 85% weightage to marks obtained by the candidates in the exam and 15% to the performance in the interview which will be held for 100 marks.

There will be a two-tier exam followed by a skill test for the stenographer and junior secretariat assistant. The merit list will be prepared according to the marks obtained by candidates in tier-2, subject to qualifying the skill test.
For the assistant section officer and senior secretariat assistant in KVS and lab attendant and multi-tasking staff in NVS, the merit list will be prepared based on the tier-2 marks only.
